Dirk van der Landen focuses on financial-economic and tax criminal law. His clients are mainly banks, stock broking offices, investment institutions, trust offices and other companies in the financial sector, which he advises about criminal defence, (directing) internal fraud investigations and assessing criminal liability risks. For this reason he often works together with lawyers specialised in other areas, tax consultants, accountants and compliance-experts.

Dirk van der Landen has a great deal of experience in advising foreign-based multinational corporations regarding Dutch criminal law matters.

In addition, he is active as a criminal lawyer for managers, advisors and entrepreneurs who are involved in financial-economic criminal cases, criminal tax cases and fraud cases.

For over 17 years he has been affiliated with several universities and has gained recognition as a specialist in financial criminal law. He regularly publishes in the professional literature and in 1992 obtained his doctorate in law. Dirk van der Landen regularly lectures at seminars and courses.
